Formed in 2006, the Banda infusion, which was called Macumba (2002-2005), started its activities with the proposal to unite the weight of heavy rock  with several Brazilian regional rhythms.

Seeking its identity in the balance between hard rock, with influences ranging from Rush, Rage Against The Machine, Dream Theater, Audioslave, Megadeth, with Brazilian regional rhythms of some bands like Nação Zumbi, Tom Zé, O Rappa, and Zeca Baleiro, Bataclã FC,  the band learned its own way to merge the weight of the Rock with the plurality of Brazilian music.

During its career,  participated of many festivals in the Greater Porto Alegre, and also participated in the  World Social Forum - 2005, made presentations in the TV program called Radar (TVE / RS), gigs at Bar Opinião, Art CIA , the Working Theater  Museum, Rock Solidário (Viamão / RS), among others. 

The compositions of Banda have acid tone on historical themes, and contemporary daily life, showing concern for society, making it clear that it is possible to portray our cultural reality. With compositions that resemble some of the Tropicalia movement with the current pop and passing by classic rock, the band intends to Cd "Introfusão" (musical production of Guilherme do Espirito Santo and Infusão) show all the nuances that are part of their training, and disseminating their work.
